What is Gecko Grass made from?

Gecko Grass is a synthetic product made with premium polypropylene and polythylene materials. The backing (double or triple layer) is made with polypropylene and SBR latex. The materials are UV resistant, highly durable and environmentally friendly.

Is Gecko Grass suitable with pets?

All of our artifical grass products are pet friendly. Gecko Grass is highly durable, easily cleaned or hosed and has drainage. However, Gecko Grass is not guaranteed against digging, scratching or chewing by animals.

If your pet is inclined to urinate in the same location, we have a specially formulated natural enzyme product that both neutralises the odour and reduces the temptation for the animal to return to the same location.

Can Gecko artificial grass catch fire?

No, the grass is not flammable as it is manufactured with a fire retardant material (unless an accelerant is spilt or poured onto the grass). Cigarette butts or similar flame may only leave a burn mark.

Will the artificial grass fibres remain upright?

After installation the grass may be a little flat after being rolled out or after a period of heavy use. Simply use a broom or leaf rake to groom the fibres upright.

What maintenance is required?

 Generally the only cleaning that is required is by using a leaf blower or flexible rake (not steel). The grass can also be washed down with a hose or cleaned with a stiff brush.

Where does the water go when it rains or gets wet?

The backing of the artificial grass has drainage holes to allow water to seep through. A slight fall is required during installation to allow the water to drain away.
